DESARAE DEE – “Triumph

Toronto Based Jazz Fusion Pianist Desarae Dee has been on a roll this year, releasing her 4th single, while basking in the continued success of her last two releases, “Love and Found” and “Take a Step.”

As someone who is constantly evolving, Desarae is a powerhouse pianist/keyboardist who has been making waves in the Toronto music scene for quite sometime. Dubbed “Toronto’s Fusion Pianist” by BUZZMUSICLA, she has an undeniable playing style that is uniquely her. Widely known for being a spontaneous and unconventional musician, Desarae has captured the attention of many, with her ability to push boundaries and bend genres throughout her music. Because of her unique ability to simultaneously give you everything you need to hear and something you’ve never heard before, she’s been the topic of conversation for music blogs and magazines; having multiple features with Los Angeles blog, BUZZMUSICLA, and having recent features in Sidedoor Magazine (May 2021), Gritty Vibes Magazine (March 2021) and was named “Artist of the Month” by Shifter Magazine (March 2021). She has made it her mission to continue to break barriers in the industry and forge a path for other Black Women Musicians in Canada.

Her new single “TRIUMPH” is an instrumental canvas that not only maintains the quality production that Desarae has consistently displayed throughout her music, but showcases another side of her creative process that’s different from her current releases. Heavily bass driven, with intricate hip-hop percussive beats and powerful melodic lines on piano and synth, “Triumph” sets out to inspire listeners to reflect on every victory won over the various obstacles and struggles they’ve encountered throughout their lives. Every win, especially the small ones are worth celebrating.
